The Turkish Riviera, also called the Turquoise Coast, is an area of southwest Türkiye consisting of the provinces of southern Izmir, Aydın, Muğla, Antalya, and Mersin. It has a pleasant climate, warm sea, mountains, and excellent beaches that stretch some 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) along the Aegean and Mediterranean coastlines. It also has numerous ancient sites, including those of Biblical interest, such as Smyrna, Ephesus, Patara, and Perge.
