Tepidarium

The tepidarium was a warm room in an ancient Roman bath heated by an underfloor heating system. Because the warmth was comfortable to the body, it was probably the first room a person visited when beginning the three-stage bath system, the second stage being the caldarium (hot room) and the third being the frigidarium (cold room).
