Strabo (c.63 BC—24 AD) was a Greek geographer, philosopher, and historian who lived in Asia Minor during the transitional period of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire. He is best known for his work “Geographica” (Geography), in which he presented a history of people and places in different regions of the world that were known during his lifetime.
