Plato

Plato (c. 428—348 BC) was an ancient Greek philosopher in Athens during the Classical period. He was a student of Socrates and is a central figure in the history of philosophy. Plato founded the Academy, a philosophical school where he taught the philosophical doctrines later called Platonism. Among his students was Aristotle, a philosopher who would educate Alexander the Great.
