Plancia Magna was a wealthy patron of the ancient city of Perga (now known as Perge), situated 19 kilometers (11.8 miles) northeast of the provincial capital of Antalya in southwestern Türkiye. She was a wife and sister of Roman senators, a relative of Herod the Great, and a member of a dynasty of Cappadocian kings. She was responsible for the construction of many of the magnificent buildings of Perga. A statue of Plancia Magna was found near the main Hellenistic gate in Perga, now on display at the Antalya Archaeological Museum. Her tomb can be found just outside of the main entrance of the Perga archaeological site.
