Pantocrator

A specific depiction of Christ, literally meaning “ruler of all,” “almighty,” or “all-powerful.” It is frequently seen as an icon in Orthodox Christianity and in Byzantine churches, in the central dome of the church, or in the half-dome of the apse. In the icon, Christ holds the New Testament in his left hand and makes a gesture of blessing or teaching with his right.
