Mahmut I

Also called Mahmut the Hunchback (lived 1696—1754, reigned 1730—1754) was the 24th Ottoman sultan, whose reign was marked by wars in Persia and conflicts in Europe. He was known to delegate government affairs to his viziers so he could write poetry.
