Ionian League

The Ionian League, also called the Panionic League, was a confederation of 13 city-states in the region of Ionia on the Aegean (west) coast of Asia Minor. It was formed in the 7th century BC and lasted into the Roman era until it was finally disbanded in the 3rd century AD. It included the city-states of Clazomenae, Colophon, Ephesus, Erythrae, Lebedus, Miletus, Myus, Phocaea, Priene, Smyrna, Teos, and the islands of Chios and Samos.
